Verlag Otto Sagner, Munich - Berlin - Washington D.C.

Since 1959, Verlag Otto Sagner has published over 1,300 titles to date on subjects related to Central Eastern, South Eastern, and Eastern Europe and to Slavic studies.

Our publishing concept provides the perfect conditions particularly for academic publications such as doctoral and post-doctoral theses, seminar and conference reports, textbooks, reference books, non-fiction, periodicals, and series of publications. Of course, we would be pleased to assume publishing responsibilities for a periodical or series of books for your department or institute.

From the outset, Verlag Otto Sagner has participated in all the major international book fairs, congresses, and exhibitions. We take care of professionally distributing all publications on the book market while Kubon & Sagner GmbH is in charge of marketing and sales of the books and periodicals. Thus, we are able to reach every library worldwide that is interested. Our team automatically sends review copies to the major specialist journals and newspapers.

Thanks to cooperation with the Bavarian State Library (BSB) in Munich, we are currently in the process of digitalizing over 700 titles on our backlist. These are being archived for the long term and will soon be available at the Bavarian State Library in digital form (open access) as well as in print edition upon demand through our publishers.

Since 2011, all Verlag Otto Sagner’s new titles are also being published as ebooks parallel to the print version. From the year of publication 2012, with Kubon & Sagner having now officially established an office in the US, we are able to add Washington D.C. as a new place of publication in addition to Munich and Berlin.
